I'm In!
It's been eight days from my last post. A lot has happened. A lot of good things. And I only have God to thank for. Thank You for the blessings, God.
My new hire processing went so well. The guards were polite and let me in at an earlier time. The lady who processed my employment requirements was so helpful. I think she noticed my hearing aid so she somewhat she also has one but she was not able to wear. In any case, she talked to me as precisely as possible since she knows I am hard of hearing.
There were also glitches in my registration but I went through after a few minutes. At the time of my processing was my husband's procedure to remove the stitches from his back. It was smooth and quick.
I informed my manager that I was processed already and was given orientation schedules. He said awesome and said that they will be in touch with me the following week for my schedule.
Last Saturday, one of the Supervisors called me for my schedule this week.
Likewise, my meeting with my career coach was so good. She was really happy for me. She gave me access to Coursera learning and certifications. She also provided links where I can join for networking. She sent links to Udemy which can help me with my knowledge in Workforce Management.
I am already an alumni of Upwardly Global and the privileges are attending learnings sponsored by them, putting my resume in their network, inviting me in Linkedin for learnings and introductions to members and mentors.
My coach asked me to provide the offer letter but I apologized as there is a confidentiality clause. She asked for specifics because it will help their organization's database for successful mentees. I sent her details which are already online and out in the public which are the same also in my offer letter. Win-win.
I have started my Coursera class which touched on Workforce planning. I have 100 percent of scores in the graded quizzes so far.
And came the 2-day orientation which ended today. Wow! Awesome! I want to be a part of this company till I retire. I pray to God the culture is how it was presented to us. A lot of opportunities in all the companies of the conglomerate. I will pursue my certifications and pray to God to lead me to success. To gain triple, quadruple of what I missed out in previous years.
Please continue leading the way, God.
I was apprehensive to meet my managers after the orientation because the introvert me surfaced. Actually, not the introvert me. It's my hearing problem that is my concern. But God is sooo good. He sent this Supervisor who interviewed me. He is so nice! I was right he was Aaron. And what do you know, he is half-Filipino. I said I thought you were Hispanic. He said half. His mom is a Filipina. I asked a number of questions which he answered well. The good part is I need not go to the office since I will be there tomorrow. He keeps on saying it's so hot.
I also told him about my hearing difficulty. He said it's fine. Just use what will help you. And I am so thankful because I can hear him well. Thank You so much. God.
The job is part time on-call. I am still excited. Because God led me here. And will continue to lead me. And it's been a good ride :) And I will keep on trusting God where He is leading me.
Funny thing during lunch. I purposely did not join the group going up because I want to take my time taking the stairs. I was so tired yesterday from going up coz I did not stop. I had shortness of breath and gas after eating. Good thing it was gone after a few minutes.
The two nice guys held the door for me but I pretended talking over the phone and said smiling I will just follow. Then when I was entering, oh my, the door has a code. Good thing, there's a maintenance passing by and I asked if he could help me with the code. He did! He said something like if I will enter. Maybe he was thinking why use the stairs. Anyway, thankful for him. Bless him.
So now I did not exactly know where to enter after a few flights. I went down a few flights to try the closed door if it lead to the employee dining room. As I was opening it, a big guy, opened the door from the inside. I think he thought he startled me. He was smiling big and was so nice. I thought I was in a casino but eventually realized it was the employee dining room. I said oh this is where I am going. :) He said still smiling big, oh okay. :)
Even in this small things God led the way.
Thank You, God. Super! Let me always trust in You with all my heart. I am confident You will also lead my daughter to have her job already. I am thankful coz the noise above our unit are just kids. But I pray they won't be as noisy.
Thank You.
